About me

My name is Kairi Ilison. I am a certified yoga instructor and have been doing yoga regularly for over 25 years. I started to give classes and workshops in 2012. Yoga is always part of me but never work. I practice and teach yoga because I love it. I am not attached to any concrete yoga style although I am certified in ISHTA yoga (200 Teachers Training) and have also studied Restorative yoga, Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra. Since February 2017 I am a certified yogamasseur and since March 2018 I am inspired by a concept called Moveoo. In May 2021 I participated in an amazing training about the philosophy of Thomas W. Myers Anatomy Trains concept and myofascial anatomy.

This is the place where I write about things connected to yoga philosophy and practice. I have done a lot of other things as well including gymnastics, aerobics, flamenco, modern dance and show dance when younger but yoga is something that has followed me in one or another way since I was a teenager and started to meditate. For some reason it was meaningful at that time to lie down and listen to my heartbeat. To disappear inside of my own being.

I have met some really great yoga teachers who all have inspired me in one or another way. I was not always ready for their teachings at the time they expected me to understand. I have my own journey and my own way of doing yoga. One truth, many paths.
